! Corinthians 15:57-58

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

In today’s fast paced, connected, multitasking world it can be easy to become worn out, discouraged and reach a place where you just want to quit and give up on trying to get anywhere yourself or with helping anyone else. We sometimes wonder, “what’s the use, they will never get it anyway.”

The Apostle Paul said, “be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.” He said in so many words, don’t give up. Keep on keeping on. Don’t let the, seemingly, lack of progress and discouragement knock you off track. Always be abounding in the work of the Lord. Abounding, in the Greek, to exceed a fixed number of measure, to be left over and above a certain number or measure. Do it as unto the Lord and go beyond the fixed number of measure. The bible is clear that we shall surely reap what we sow and if I go beyond with my loved ones and those that cross my path, doing it as unto the Lord, I shall surely reap beyond a fixed number of measure in my life.

God “giveth” us the victory, present tense, right now, because I went beyond in ministering the love of God in whatever situation I found myself in today. We have the victory. It’s found in going beyond with those that God has placed in my world. Our labour is not in vain. God giveth us the victory right, now present tense!
