But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
What a promise! He “shall” supply. The Bible leaves no doubt but makes a positive statement, “He shall supply.”
We sometimes spend our life’s breath and energy worrying and fretting about how we are going to do this thing or another thing. We worry about having enough to take care of the responsibilities of life and if we will ever have enough to make ends meet. We worry and fret and suddenly realize at the end of the day that we have left God completely out of the equation.
God shall supply all of our need according to His riches in glory. How much riches does He have in glory? He has all riches. There are no riches that He does not have. He has what it takes.
My problem is I haven’t learned to trust Him and to do the necessary things to open His store house to me. The Bible says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” He does it by Christ Jesus.
Sometimes the phrase Jesus Christ is used and sometimes, as is the case here in Philippians 4:19, the Bible says Christ Jesus. Jesus speaks of the humanity side and Christ speaks of the divine side of the Son of God. So all our need is met from the invisible spiritual world down into the visible natural world.
God promises here that He shall supply. It is going to happen because He has all riches at His disposal in His Treasure House above. All He has to do is speak it into existence just as He did all of creation in Genesis chapter one. So it doesn’t matter how impossible it looks today in the visible world.
My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
