Psalm 36:9
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Light always appears in the middle of darkness. It could be said that, darkness is a womb for light to appear in.

For example in Genesis 1:1-3 the Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

So there was darkness upon the face of the deep and in the middle of that darkness, light appeared. In the natural a seed is sown in the dark ground and from that a living thing is produced.

Once upon a time Peter and the disciples were in a boat trying to cross the sea at Jesus’ command and a storm came up on the sea. The disciples were certain they were all going to perish at sea. In the middle of that storm Jesus appeared, walking on the water and above all the waves. Teaching the disciples that if you look above the waves, light will appear in the middle of the storm.

At Calvary the picture was laid out again. In the middle of criminals being executed, there hung Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. Even though there is so much inside of me still unlike Jesus, if I press past the things in me that rightfully deserve punishment, in the middle, I will find Jesus.

Jesus was not recognized as the Savior of the world, by the majority, as He hung on the cross at Calvary. Yet one of the malefactors that was justly executed with Him, recognized the light in the middle of the darkness and was saved and went to paradise with Jesus that day.

The problem is we don’t always recognize Jesus in the middle of our darkness. We think it is a storm or some evil person that needs to be executed. Yet if we can learn to put our trust and faith in Jesus in the middle of the storm and in the middle of flesh being executed, we will discover Jesus in the middle.

Psalm 36:9, For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. The malefactor discovered Jesus in the middle of being executed and found more light in Paradise that day. Peter was able to see Jesus in the middle of the storm and experienced a new place in Jesus which resulted in calm seas for everyone.

Press past the darkness. There will be new light in the middle.
