And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram. And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
How can we live a morally clean and upright life in the midst of such a morally corrupt day? It seems, at times, that the deck is so stacked against you, that the only way to even survive in today’s world is to just go with the flow and, like everyone else, just take whatever you can get your hands on. What happened to the day when, if a man shook your hand, it was as good as money in the bank? If a man shook your hand he would do what he said, regardless of what it cost him.
Our lack of commitment to principle and lack of consecration to the LORD is the cause of the moral decay in our society.
In Leviticus the eight chapter, when Aaron and his sons were being consecrated for the priesthood, a ram was slain and the blood of that ram was placed upon the tip of the right ear, upon the thumb of the right hand and upon the great toe of the right foot of Aaron and his sons.
That is a picture to us of how to live consecrated and morally upright lives today. The blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on Calvary’s cross not only can save me from an eternity in hell without Jesus but it can also save me from all of the corruption and Godlessness in today’s world.
When I begin my day, if I will apply the blood of Jesus, by faith, to the tip of my right ear, upon the thumb of my right hand and upon the great toe of my right foot, I will be able to hear, serve and walk in consecration before the LORD.
Let us stand before God and man, consecrated to the LORD and committed to the principles of Godliness and right and be the examples that this generation so desperately needs.
