Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

And having done all, to stand. So many times in life we have come to, as some have described, our wits end. In other words, we have tried everything we know to do in a situation and yet it’s like we just can’t get past the thing or get the victory over that thing in our life.

When we reach those places in life, where we just don’t know what to do, it is time to do nothing but just stand. And having done all, to stand. There are some battles in life we win by just standing.

Exodus 14:13, And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” As the Egyptians were pursuing the children of Israel to return them to captivity and slavery, Moses said to the people, don’t worry and just stand still. We will see the salvation of the LORD. Just as Moses prophesied, Israel stood still and the LORD destroyed all the Egyptians pursuing Israel that day.

When we have done everything we know to do, it is time to stand still and worship and praise the LORD as we wait for His deliverance. This is an awesome display of trust and faith in the LORD that moves His arm of deliverance on our behalf. Although it seems counter intuitive to simply stand still praising God when something really should be done, it is an act of trust and faith so deep, so high and so boundless that it brings eternal victories from certain defeat.

If God be for us, who can be against us?!
