Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

At the end of Jesus’ earthly journey, after He had accomplished the purpose He was sent to earth for, namely our salvation, these are the instructions that He gave His disciples. If you have been visiting with someone and you are getting ready to leave and return to your home, the last things you choose to say to them are going to be among the most important things to you. You will say the things you wish for them to remember the most while you are gone as one of the last things you say before departing.

Before departing Jesus said, I have been given all power, go teach all nations and baptize them, I am with you always.

No matter what our road through life looks like and no matter where it leads us, we have nothing to fear because Jesus has all power. He said go teach all people because He has all power. Since He has all power there is nothing that can stop us if we hold His hand. Life can seem really cruel and unfair at times but we have nothing to fear because Jesus Himself told us to go to all nations. It is possible for us to victoriously walk any path through this world we find ourselves on because all power has been given to the one that died for us.

Perfect love died for our souls on Calvary’s cross and in 1 John 4:18 the Bible says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” There is nothing to fear! Perfect love died for me at Calvary and all power has been given to Jesus. How can I fail? Embrace the perfect love of Jesus as displayed at Calvary and walk in victory today.
