Proverbs 21:30

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord.

There is no human wisdom, understanding or counsel that can succeed against or hinder and prevent the Lord’s plan.

It used to be that people would attempt to cover up and hide their plots and plans. That is not so in today’s world. In today’s world all it takes is someone saying a few politically correct words and they can proceed with whatever plot and plan they have hatched to benefit themselves. I think this is true inside the church as well as outside the church. Whether you look at the financial system, political system, educational system or the religious system of today’s world it seems that all you can find is narcissistic self-centered behavior with no thought as to the consequences of my behavior on others. If it enriches me and hurts you, too bad.

The church puts on this public display of moral indignation and yet when you look at the religious elite and ruling class of the church, you see the same thing, narcissistic self-centered behavior. Of course there are some that are sincerely trying to do the right thing but they are few and far between in today’s world. 1 Peter 4:17, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” I would suggest that the church needs to clean their own house and then proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ loudly to this world.

We worry about what if this group gets their way or manages to pull off their devious plot and plan? What if the boss believes my co-worker instead of me? How do they get away with this or that? We zealously proclaim, I’m not being treated fairly.

Psalm 37:1, Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.” In the midst of all the narcissistic self-centered behavior and in the midst of the complete disregard of the two great commands to love the LORD God with all your being and your neighbor as yourself we need not fret because God’s Word clearly states, “There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord.”
